Currently Inked: November 2016
October came and went in a flash! With the Scriptus pen show this past Sunday and yesterday being Halloween, I didn't have much time to prepare my pen + ink combos for November. Without further ado, here they are:
HOLDOVERS (In order of appearance in line-up)
Pen: Pelikan M400 Brown Tortoiseshell EF Ink: Pilot Iroshizuku Ina-ho
This was a late addition to the October line-up so I’m happy to keep this around for November.
Pen: Nakaya Decapod Twist Heki-Tamenuri (Brown-Green) SF Ink: Sailor Jentle Tokiwa-Matsu
I topped this pen up a bit to take to the Scriptus Toronto pen show. It will last for a bit longer because of the Japanese fine nib being frugal with ink consumption.
NEW (In order of appearance in line-up)
Pen: Bexley Gaston’s Special Reserve M Ink: Montblanc Toffee Brown
This is a favoured combination that is delicious all around.
Pen: Platinum 3776 Sai M Ink: Montblanc Lavender Purple
I think the nice dark purple would pair nicely with this straight-laced classic black pen.
Pen: Pilot/Namiki Vanishing Point Raden Water Surface F Ink: Robert Oster Blue Sea
OMG. I was so excited to see Robert Oster inks available at the Scriptus Pen Show. I got six bottles to try. This is one of them. The Raden Water Surface detail should pair nicely with Blue Sea.
Pen: Lamy 2000 EF Ink: KWZ Northern Twilight Scriptus 2016
I was lucky to pick up this Scriptus 2016 limited edition ink by KWZ. Before the show some one posted a few pics of this ink and it looks to be special.
Pen: Franklin-Christoph Model 20 Translucent Bronze Music Ink: KWZ Honey
This Wonder Pens exclusive finish of the FC Model 20 is back in the line-up with the Music nib. After a long period of searching and waiting, I managed to get a bottle of KWZ Honey at the Scriptus pen show. I’ve always wanted to do this as a pairing and I think it looks great so far!
Pen: Parker Vacumatic Major Golden Pearl Blue Diamond (1946) F Ink: Callifolio Grenat
My vintage Parker Vac is back in the line up as I want to take a close look at it compared to the Pelikan M400 since the shape, size and resin of both pens are vaguely similar.
Pen: Franklin-Christoph Pocket 20 Translucent Bronze B Ink: Robert Oster Astorquiza Rot
Wonder Pens launched its second exclusive pen from Franklin-Christoph at the Scriptus pen show. I’m starting to develop a true love for these pocket sized models from FC so I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to pick one up. This is the second of six Robert Oster inks that I picked up at the show. This ink looks really special too.
So how many pens do you have inked up for November? What are your favourite pen and ink combos?
