Here's another one that came from the Goulet Ink Drop days. I almost passed on it since the handwritten review was very short. But, the review was so positive that I decided to go with it.

Okay, so I don't usually write about upcoming releases, except in passing, but the 50th anniversary edition of the Lamy 2000 has finally been revealed!
Appelboom, a luxury pen retailer based in the Netherlands, posted a video on it's YouTube channel which highlights the history of this storied pen before revealing the 50th anniversary edition.

There's lots going on in my life at the same time and that's giving me a real headache. My project list at work continues to grow, deadlines looming, kids' end of school year madness, my mom broke her leg and needed an operation…the only thing not giving me a headache is writing this blog.

It's a challenge to write Chinese characters using a bold nib on 5 mm dot grid ruling. I had to turn the pen over to do reverse writing and get a finer line.

Read MoreWhile listening to the back catalog of Pen Addict podcasts, I found one of the recurring themes was the Lamy 2000. After listening umpteen times of Brad and Myke discussing the Lamy 2000, I knew it was inevitable that I would get one. Of course they were not the only ones to discuss this iconic pen. Many YouTubers and bloggers have done so too.
This year is the 50th anniversary of the Lamy 2000. The pen community is abuzz with talk of a commemorative anniversary pen. I'm eager to see what Lamy has in store for us, but there's a good chance I'll put whatever Lamy offers into my shopping cart.

This time I did a slightly better job at timing my mid-April same ink refills so I have less holdovers. As well, I spread out the pen cleaning over a few days which made things easier. I got a lot of new inks right at the end of April which made for fun May ink fillings.

Read MoreTracking of my pen and ink combinations in a central place has helped my senile mind greatly. I still feel the choice of using the Tomoe River Notebook bound by Coach House Press for Wonderpens for my Currently Inked log is a good one. Great paper in a nice form factor.
It was a little hard to choose the new inks this month due to the number of holdovers from last month. It was kind of unfortunate I was forced to top up a few pens with 3 days left in March to accommodate a one-day out of town trip. But, it's all good as long as I have pens with ink to write with.

It was easy to select this notebook because I love using Tomoe River paper, and, Wonderpens did a good job making notebooks from this paper. The notebook is A5 sized and contains 64 pages covered in light card stock, staple bound and is very light and easy to carry around...
