Read MoreContinuing on the summer theme for Throwback Thursday, we take a look back at another pen + ink combo from my July line-up. Now, I’ve had in my mind to do a fulsome review of Noodler’s Raven Black so this Throwback will have a little more than usual.
Read MoreOctober has been fairly light in terms of travel but duty called. This time the duties as a hockey mom which involved going with my son and his team to the city of Kitchener for a hockey tournament. Originally this was supposed to be a 3 day trip but cut short by the sad reality that our team did not make it into the final day of the tournament. On a positive note, it gave me an opportunity to plan another pen + ink load out.
Apart from my must-bring Hobo and TN, I wanted to bring whatever pens and paper I could fit inside a larger case. The case I had in mind was the A5 sized Lihit Lab Teffa Bag in Bag. I was expecting to travel a lot from rink to rink and I wanted a self-contained writing tool kit that I could bring along.
Read MoreI’m posting my pen & ink line-up a later than originally planned. I had hoped that a new pen that shipped out at the end of September would have arrived in time to join the October line-up. I decided to go ahead and post my Currently Inked for October and do an addendum for the new pen.
Read MoreWe're already mid-way through September. Kids settled in the new school year. Work has taken on a get-serious tone. So for Throwback Thursday this week I take a look at Diamine Graphite.

We had some wicked hot and sunny weather over the weekend. That inspired my choice for this week's Throwback Thursday.

As I'm writing this post I see in my Twitter feed the news of the most recent J. Herbin 1670 ink Caroube de Chypre which looks very intriguing. The timing is purely coincidental as I had planned for this Throwback Thursday for some time now.
Now, as for this Throwback Thursday...it was literally a very brief first impressions post.

Last week I did a first impressions of using the Goulet 1.1 stub nib on the Noodlers Ahab. This week, it's using the same ink with the Lamy 1.1.
Read MoreTracking of my pen and ink combinations in a central place has helped my senile mind greatly. I still feel the choice of using the Tomoe River Notebook bound by Coach House Press for Wonderpens for my Currently Inked log is a good one. Great paper in a nice form factor.
It was a little hard to choose the new inks this month due to the number of holdovers from last month. It was kind of unfortunate I was forced to top up a few pens with 3 days left in March to accommodate a one-day out of town trip. But, it's all good as long as I have pens with ink to write with.
Read MoreI had got a Noodlers Ahab fairly early on for flex writing. At the same time, I added a set of Goulet nibs so that I could try different size nibs. The Goulet nibs also now come in stealthy black. Here I swapped out the Ahab flex nib for the Goulet 1.1 stub.

In last week's Throwback Thursday I posted a first impressions look at Noodler's Ahab with the stock flex nib with Kon-Peki. So, it seems a bit redundant to do this one just swapping the nib for the Goulet 1.1 italic. Then, again, maybe not.
