Throwback Thursday: Bexley Gaston’s Special Reserve

On June 1 last year, I posted a first look at a newly arrived pen, the Bexley Gaston’s Special Reserve. Ironically, I just inked this pen up for this year’s June pen & ink load out.

Closing Comments This is a lush pen. That nib continues to charm and I never tire of staring in to the pearlescent swirls. Keep an eye out for this pen in my Currently Inked for June.

It's been a few months since I last posted a Currently Inked.  Over this time, I've experimented with the number of pens I have inked up at any time. At one point I had as many as 12 pens inked.  It got to be a bit too much to manage.  Too many pens to track and maintain.  Now I'm trying to keep to 6 inked pens with a complete refresh every month.

It’s the unofficial end of summer.  The weather is cooler and days are shorter.  My little guy is ready for a new school year.  It’ll be back to normal routines both at home and work.  I echo this sentiment with this a new pen and ink line-up.

After coming home from my annual family cottage vacation, I barely got my luggage unpacked before repacking for a short trip to Philadelphia.  A few days was for working but there was a little time for sightseeing too. 

Since this would be shorter trip I decided to pack lightly in terms of writing instruments and stationery especially since I was intending NOT to check any baggage.
