Chinese Cacography: 汽車 Car
It's been awhile since I last posted a Chinese Cacography. Here's a simple one. Akkerman Shocking Blue has amazing sheen - even on this Baron Fig paper which is a bit absorbent. I wish I could photograph the sheening quality better.

Chinese Cacography (i.e. chicken scratch) is my attempt to combine using fountain pens and Chinese characters writing practice. Unless otherwise noted, the paper used is always Baron Fig Apprentice Dot grid.

It's interesting that Tokiwa-Matsu looks flat green on Baron Fig paper. Definitely a sign of it's absorbency compared to certain Travelers Notebook, Rhodia or Tomoe River papers.

We're now fully into the second half of the year. Need to finalize plans for the remainder of the year. Plans for the blog, vacation, family, work.

A little comment on Scabiosa. It's been maybe a couple weeks, up to a month since I wrote this Chinese Cacography. It initially went down more of a rust colour. Now it's aged to a purple-black. Pretty interesting to see this oxidation process.
East, west, north, south. Any food is good food as long as it tastes yummy.

There's lots going on in my life at the same time and that's giving me a real headache. My project list at work continues to grow, deadlines looming, kids' end of school year madness, my mom broke her leg and needed an operation…the only thing not giving me a headache is writing this blog.

It's a challenge to write Chinese characters using a bold nib on 5 mm dot grid ruling. I had to turn the pen over to do reverse writing and get a finer line.

Although my beloved Masuyama Needlepoint nib went down the drain, I don't 反對 the matchup of my Franklin-Christoph Model 20 Translucent Bronze with Diamine Sepia.
