Currently Inked: October 2017

The arrival of October brings to mind fall colours capped off with Halloween. So, my pen and ink line up for the month rich reds, oranges and brown. The one limitation was that the ink had to come stored in plastic bottles. This was because October 1 fell on Sunday but I headed up to our family cottage for the weekend on Friday. I didn't have time to ink up before leaving for our trip hence, I tried to choose ink bottles that wouldn't crack.

NEW (In order of appearance in line-up)

Pen: Parker Vacumatic Golden Pearl F
Ink: Diamine Chocolate Brown

Pen: Franklin-Christoph Model 31 Omnis 14k Masuyama MCI
Ink: KWZ Northern Twilight Scriptus 2016
KWZ Northern Twilight Scriptus 2016 was the one ink that I brought that came in a glass bottle. I wanted to revisit this limited edition ink that was made just for the Scriptus Toronto Pen show last year. Scriptus 2017 will be held on October 29. I paired this black blue ink up with with a black bodied pen.

Pen: OMAS Ogiva Alba EF Extra Flessibile
Ink: Diamine Ancient Copper
For some reason I always reach for Diamine Ancient Copper whenever I want to ink up the OMAS Ogiva Alba with an orange ink. The rustiness in this ink makes it more red than orange but I love the combination.

Pen: yStudio Portable Fountain Pen (Brassing) F
Ink: Robert Oster Astoriquiza Rot
Robert Oster Astoriquiza Rot seems fitting in this brass body pen with nearly black finish.

Pen: Pelikan M400 Brown Tortoiseshell F
Ink: Robert Oster Gold Antigua
The golden tones in Robert Oster Gold Antigua brings out the complex golden flecks in this Brown Tortie.

So how many pens do you have inked up for October? What are your favourite pen and ink combos?
